Exterior

• Repair eaves troughs and down spouts
• Clean out the garage
• Cut and trim lawns and hedges
• Shovel sidewalks and driveway
• Clean foyer and provide a small rug for shoes on wet days

Doors/Walls/Floors

• Touch up blemishes in walls
• Ensure that all doors and cupboards open and close easily (oil squeaky hinges)
• Clean floors
• Vacuum all carpets

Fixtures

• Clean refrigerators, microwaves, counter-tops, ovens
• Fireplace on when cool outside
• Clear countertops of clutter
• Repair leaky taps and toilets
• Dust and polish all fixtures, decorations, mirrors, taps

General Tidiness

• Empty garbage containers
• Tidy up all closets and cupboards

Repairs

• Replace burned out light bulbs
• Replace mouldy seals around tubs

Just before each showing

• Ensure lights are on in all rooms - make them look bright
• Make certain that the temperature is neither too hot nor too cold
• Air out the house and/or use air fresheners
• Keep drapes open during the day
• Protect your valuables such as jewellery, vases, art, etc.
• Pets - clean litter box, take pet from home during showing if possible
